The Hip Hound accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and electronic gift cards. We are sorry, at this time, electronic gift cards are not redeemable in our store, and store gift cards are not redeemable on our website.

Your credit card will be charged when you place your order. For your protection, we will ask you for the 3-digit CVC/CVV code from the back of your credit card.

Please be sure that your billing address is the same as the address that your credit card company has on file. Non-matching addresses may cause your transaction to be declined by our bank.


STANDARD SHIPPING ships only to the US. Orders totaling $75 or more with less than 10lbs of food and/or litter included in that purchase, will receive free standard shipping. Frozen Food/Treats or Fresh Barkery items cannot be shipped. Most orders will be shipped within 2 business days, but if there is a delay, we will let you know, and let you know when you might expect your package. We will contact you before shipment to collect payment for any excess shipping charges that apply.

Alaska & Hawaii
Extra shipping charges may apply for Alaska and Hawaii. Hip Hound will contact you after your order to advise of extra charges and collect accordingly. Customer has option to cancel order for a full refund. At this time, orders being shipped to Alaska or Hawaii will not qualify for free shipping if cart totals $75 or more.

Bowsers Beds are custom made to order and will take 7-14 days before shipment. Custom and Holiday orders may be delayed an additional 7-14 days.


If you are local and would like to do Curbside Pickup, please specify the date and time of your preferred pick up. Curbside Pickup will be available no earlier than 24 hours after you place your order. The Curbside Pickup location is on NW Irving behind the Paper Source building. You will see a small driveway between the building and a house, please pull in there and call 503-841-5410 to let us know you have arrived. Your order will then be promptly delivered to you in your car!

DoorDash Delivery is available in the local Portland Metro area.  Select DoorDash as your shipping option.  Free DoorDash on all order $99 or more.  If your address is not in the delivery area, we will contact you to arrange alternative options.


We hope that you will love your order! However, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied, we are happy to offer refunds on any products returned to us within fourteen days of your receipt of goods, provided they are in their original, unopened and unused condition. With original packaging and tags as well as your receipt. Return amount will be for products only.  No refunds for shipping.  For cash or credit card refunds, there will be a 5% restocking fee taken out of the total amount refunded. If you opt to receive a store credit in lieu of your credit refund, there will be no restocking fee. Please allow 10 business days from our issue of your refund and for the amount to be in your account, as the communication between our accounts and your bank takes time.

Oops! Accidents do happen. If you received an incorrect, damaged or defective item, please submit your Return Request within 72 hours of receiving the package.

Items returned without first submitting a Return Request are not eligible for refund.

To request a refund, please log on to and go to My Account.

Go to Completed Orders and click on Return Items next to the item(s) you wish to return.

Fill out the Return Form, then click Submit Return Request.

Returns must be sent within 5 business days of receiving your return approval. Please include your packing slip and Return Authorization number. We recommend using a USPS trackable service to return your package, or another trackable courier (UPS or FedEx), that can be traced should the shipment be lost. cannot be responsible for return shipments not received.

If your order included a special offer, such as a Gift with Purchase, and you are returning one of the items that qualified you for the offer, please include the Gift with your return to receive a full refund. Gift items not returned will have their value deducted from the refund amount. The three free samples included with your order are yours to keep and enjoy.

Upon receipt of your package, we will inspect the item. If the product is eligible for a return, you will be issued a refund for the product only. You are responsible for shipping costs unless we shipped an incorrect, damaged or defective product. You will receive an email confirmation when your item is refunded. It can take up to two weeks to process the return and credit your account.
